Corporate Communication

Meredith (Mirrington) Zikria is a Senior Instructor for the M.A. Corporate Communications program at the University of Colorado (CU) College of Media, Communications, and Information (CMCI). She is a proud graduate (BA JOUR '01) of the CU School of Journalism and Mass Communications (pre-CMCI) where she served as the school’s student president and was selected as the 2001 Outstanding Senior.

For the past two decades, Meredith has led high-impact, multi-platform internal, external, and executive communications efforts for globally recognized, innovative, and respected companies in industries ranging from tech to tourism. Most recently, Meredith was a Global Communications & Culture Leader at Amazon Web Services where she led strategic communications development and direction in support of the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. Known for showing up with contagious courage and curiosity, Meredith previously championed culture and communications for nearly 35,000 employees across 14 national and international resorts in the Vail Resorts portfolio. She began her career with the Colorado State Parks and subsequently supported the communications strategy and execution for the Colorado Tourism Office and Visit Denver public relations departments. Curious about the relationship between leadership and communication and finding better messaging solutions that engage, inspire, and prompt action, Meredith completed her M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Regis University in 2016.

Now in her career's "second act," Meredith is a Managing Director at PR Talent, one of the country's leading communications search firms, and leads the recruiting efforts across the Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland region, where she currently resides.
