Matt Kroll has almost 20 years of award-winning communication experience as a senior Public Affairs Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard working with federal, state and local government agencies on a variety of public policies and national-level emergency responses. He led federal communications teams as the Public Affairs Officer for the Pacific Southwest region (California, Arizona, Nevada & Utah) in the San Francisco Bay Area where he specialized in public information and crisis communications. As the service's Chief of Media Relations in Washington, DC, he led international corporate communications campaigns for the military and maritime industries. He is currently the Director of the Coast Guard's Motion Picture and Television Liaison Office in Los Angeles and oversees all assistance to and participation with entertainment media.

Matt is a member of PRSA, a Type-1 Public Information Officer, and has taught multiple communications courses at a variety of colleges and universities. He recently co-authored a book on military public relations and has published numerous articles on the history of government communications.
