Dr. Jay DeFrank is a consultant to leading global aerospace companies and international government agencies. His career in global communications and government relations leadership in industry, government, and academia spans four decades.
Most recently, he served as Vice President of Communications and Government Relations, at Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of a Fortune 50 corporation, from 2008-2016. There he was responsible for the company’s worldwide internal and external communications, including public relations, digital media, employee communications, visual media services, advertising and branding, public affairs, government relations at all levels, and communications in support of sales and marketing.
Previously, Jay spent 30 years on active duty in the US military where he served in communications leadership positions at every level of the US Air Force and the highest level of the Department of Defense. His positions included directing media relations for the Air Force during the air war over Serbia and directing all communications for the US Air Force in Europe, the Levant and sub-Saharan Africa.
