Carly McNiece ORE
Admissions Specialist • Enrollment and Communications Manager
Outdoor Recreation Economy

Carly provides support for prospective students as well as works closely with faculty and staff to continue growing the ORE program and help cultivate creative, thoughtful leaders across the outdoor recreation sector.

Carly has worked in higher education for the past several years in a variety of roles, which have allowed her to expand and grow her professional experience. She has lived in four different states (Florida, Colorado, Minnesota, and Utah) and is incredibly appreciative of the opportunity to experience life in various cities. However, Colorado always felt like home as it was the first state to pique her interest in the outdoors and she moved back in 2022. Carly has a MS in College Counseling and Student Development; she has a passion for both working with students and for the outdoors. Her role with the ORE program allows Carly to combine her passions for helping students find the right program for them with increasing awareness of the immeasurable opportunities available in the outdoor recreation industry.

Carly looks forward to connecting with students in their educational journey and helping them discover the intersectionality between their excitement for the outdoors and possible career paths! When not in the office, you can find her exploring different hiking trails, climbing every rock possible, avoiding all the bears on backpacking trips, or outside reading any book that has to do with history or the outdoors!
