Joanne Bischmann is the founder and owner of MOB Communications, a strategic organizational and communications consultancy. Prior to starting her consultancy, she worked for Harley-Davidson, retiring after a 29-year career, in February 2019. She most recently served Harley-Davidson as Vice President, Chief Communications Officer. She was responsible for shaping stakeholder perceptions and creating advocacy for the company through targeted communication of the Harley-Davidson story. This included all external corporate communications as well as employee, dealer, supplier, shareholder, and community relations communications. Bischmann joined Harley-Davidson in 1990, and served as Manager of Advertising and Promotions, Director of Marketing, VP of Marketing, and VP of Licensing & Special Events. She previously worked in advertising for Hoffman, York, and Compton of Milwaukee. Bischmann is on the Board of Directors for Reliable of Milwaukee, Arrow Companies, Summerfest, and the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin, Inc. She is also Vice Chair of the Board of Advisors for the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations and Co-Chair of the Membership Committee for the Arthur W. Page Society.
