A retired member of the public relations faculty in the Gaylord College at the University of Oklahoma, “Pritch” has nearly 25 years of experience as a public affairs officer in the U.S. Navy and more than 20 years as a public relations educator.
His teaching and research expertise includes student leadership development, student-run firms, strategic public relations planning, crisis communications and media relations.
He served as the faculty adviser for the Stewart Harral chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America at OU and for Lindsey + Asp, the nationally affiliated student-run advertising and public relations firm in Gaylord College, for more than 12 years. He was faculty adviser for the Bal State University PRSSA Chapter and Cardinal Communications, Ball State’s student-run firm, from 2001 to 2009.
Pritch was elected to the National PRSA Board in 2018 for a two-year term. He is a Champion for PRSSA, a member of the PRSA College of Fellows (Class of 2004), the 2013 PRSA Outstanding Educator, the 2011-2015 PRSSA National Faculty Adviser, and a past chair of the PRSA Educators Academy.
